The Premier League is back! After a summer filled with international tournaments, domestic league play is underway, or soon underway, across Europe. What better way to celebrate than outlining PL jersey and sleeve sponsors for each team?
As you may expect, the front-of-jersey sponsor category with the most representation is betting. In the 2021-22 PL season, there are nine betting brands, from debutants Hollywoodbets to mainstay Betway. Financial services has the second-most representation with four brands, including American Express, Standard Chartered, AIA, and newcomers, FBS. Emirates and Etihad Airways continue their presence in the league, as well.
Trivia time – which brand is the front-of-jersey partner of more than one club? That honor goes to Cazoo, who became Everton and Aston Villa partners before the 2020-21 season. As we discussed last year, the departure from betting sponsors increased jerseys sales for each club.
